Hexagonal nylon locking nuts usually consist of a metal nut body and a built-in nylon washer or insert. The nylon washer is usually embedded in the annular groove on the top of the nut. When the nut is tightened, the nylon material is squeezed and deformed, filling the thread gap and generating additional friction, thereby preventing the nut from loosening due to vibration or impact.
